The Ticket Protections Plan PLUS is a must for every rail traveler. Remember, during your travel if your rail pass gets lost or stolen you cannot avail of any refund, unless you have a Ticket Protect Plan PLUS.

Under this plan, you are eligible for a complete refund for the unused portion of your original travel/ rail/ drive pass. You can apply for this service for $14, that covers all rail passes issued by the state.

Ideally, you MUST purchase your Ticket Protections Plan PLUS at the time of buying your railpass. You will notice that the check box for Ticket Protections Plan PLUS is already ticked, when you go for an online booking. Of course, it is entirely up to you whether you want this additional security feature on your railpass or not.
